I’m Secretly In Love With You
By Jack | December 12, 2009 | 1 Comment
Hello, my name is Jack.
You made me a bagel. It was delicious.
Also, that mixtape with The Adolescents on it.
We had sex on someones couch
The lights were on so it was akward
I rode in your car one time, from a party.
It smelled like puke.
But i’m secretly in love with you

what’s new
what goes on
no not you
i don’t care about you
i can’t be bothered with that
so what’s new
what goes on
jesus stop interrupting me
never cared for the light
never wanted the dark
just wanted to ask myself
for myself
so i could hear clinching pause
start again so golden and lovely
what’s new
what goes on
this snow it falls

the rain and slush became snow, hail– and i drove through it all. making tracks, playing leader, intrepid, brazen, foolish. WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?! i floored it, threw oily mush; laughing. there were no lines, no reminders. for seconds, all was simplicity; that blanket we all speak of and never see, it was there. lofty, soft, dangerous.
