time off

i seen you in all sorts stages;
blending up colors,
clicking out braces.
a few more and you’ll swear
that you’re famous
but the world ain’t a camera–
won’t wait for a click, no
shutter speed, focus, aperture to
fuck with.
just a clock: some motion gears from a wind;
a bonafide method for taking off time.
my dear, you’ll soon find
more scratches,
more wrinkle:
more tears.
someone more to hate.
something more to fear.

I heard a great story about a Radiohead song the other day, and it made me ponder the power of music. I have found myself in situations where the certain songs have had mystical healing powers.
Wait.
Was it the Grateful Dead?
I apologize for the star gaze-ee-ness that just occured, for you see I set out instead to write about beer, and here I am doing just that.
It’s delicious(Need I say more?)! So Anna, David, Kervin, Mizz Betty, Chris, Elle and all the other wonderful people I have met here… I just pulled that brick, so slam a beer.
I never question the power of the mind.
This is the end…
