it’s a beautiful day out. i officially woke up at 11:33 after rising and falling many times. i mozied around the apartment, trying to ignore the cat as she ran franticly back and forth, her nails scratching loudly on the floor. i cut up an old skirt and dressed for the day. clean face, brushed teeth, tasteful makeup, hair pulled back in a greasy, curling nest. i left a note for my sleeping lover and rode down to La Maison. my eyes teared at the breeze. i could hear the wind moving past my ears under a bulky helmet. i entered the unlocked house to find no one awake. in fact, i’m not sure who is here, if anyone. someone across the street is playing a song i recognize. i find great comfort sitting alone on this couch with the front door open. i will always, in some small part, belong to this house. all i must do now is wait for a familiar face to greet me with some surprise. summer is coming. i wonder what we’ll make of it.

I haven’t been posting much lately due to school and my own laziness, but last night Betty and I finished the film we began making several months ago that documents parts of our trip out to New York and New Jersey. I will now post that here.
